Before Installation

4PSA Integrator software has two important components, 4PSA Integrator core, which contains the application files and 4PSA Integrator SaaS archives, every archive containing a software managed by 4PSA Integrator.

In order to start the installation, you must download the 4PSA Integrator core installer. The SaaS archive is automatically maintained by 4PSA Integrator. Every time you launch the installer, the SaaS software installed on your server is checked against the latest versions present on the 4PSA repository server. When new versions are detected, they are automatically downloaded and installed.

The software applications included in 4PSA Integrator work on most hosting servers. However, keep in mind that you need:

  1. PHP 5.2.6 or a superior version (note the most of the applications work on PHP 4.2.0). PHP must be compiled with --enable-tokenizer and must include the JSON extension.

  2. NetPBB and ImageMagick packages installed (required by Gallery).

  3. pear packages PEAR Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer, DB (required by PHP Bug Tracker).

  4. MySQL 4.1.7 or a superior version (MySQL > 5.0.33 recommended).

  5. Python support installed (required by Google Sitemaps).

The following .deb packages must be installed under Debian:

  1. python

  2. imagemagick

  3. netpbm

It is advisable to use apt-get to install these packages.

The following ports must be installed under FreeBSD:

  1. /usr/ports/graphics/ImageMagick

  2. /usr/ports/graphics/netpbm

  3. /usr/ports/lang/python

  4. /usr/ports/textproc/py-expat

Note

Due to security reasons, 4PSA DOES NOT recommend to any hosting company to set safe_mode off or register_globals on globally in php.ini. Instead, enable the automatic PHP management feature of 4PSA Integrator.

The available free disk space for both partitions, one containing the installation directory and one the /usr/local/psa/admin must be higher than 1GB. 4PSA Integrator can not be installed on a partition with less available disk space.
